Catalina and its subsidiaries, including, without limitation, Catalina Health Resources, (“Catalina Marketing” or “we” or “us”) provide shopper-based communications, developed and distributed for consumer packaged goods manufacturers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, marketers and retailers.  This privacy policy applies to information collected by Catalina at the website(s) on which this policy is posted, including catalinamarketing.com.  It does not apply to information we collect or maintain in connection with our other websites, which may have their own privacy policies.  In certain circumstances information obtained from our business partners or collected in connection with our client relationships may be subject to additional requirements or policies other than those outlined here.

Catalina does not distribute or sell any personally identifiable information obtained in connection with the catalinamarketing.com website.  All identifying information we collect offline directly or through our client relationships, is anonymized or de-identified.


MODIFICATIONS TO THIS POLICY

This policy was last updated on September 17, 2010.  To the extent required by law, we will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy, including by posting the most recent version of the Privacy Policy on the Site.  Please read this Privacy Policy carefully, as your use of the Site indicates to us that you have read and accept our privacy practices, as outlined in this Privacy Policy.  In addition, please review our Terms of Use which govern your use of the Site.  By using the Site, you consent to have your information used as described in this Privacy Policy and you agree to adhere to the Terms. 

 

INFORMATION COLLECTION

We may passively collect information from you offline when working with certain of our business partners.  This information does not include identifiers such as name, address, email address, or street address.  Information we collect offline directly or through our client relationships is anonymized or de-identified.

We collect limited personally identifiable information through the Site, including at the job application and “contact us” areas on the Site.  This personally identifiable information may include name, email address, phone number, job history, and demographic information.

 

USE, SHARING, AND RETENTION OF INFORMATION

We use personally identifiable information collected through the Site for the purposes described at the time of collection, as otherwise described to you, and to process requests. We also use your information, as permitted by law, to provide you with information about Catalina, or for other legitimate Catalina business purposes. We use passively collected information for market analysis, to fulfill our obligations under our client relationships, and for other legitimate Catalina business purposes.

We may share personally identifiable information in anticipation of and in the course of an actual or potential sale, reorganization, consolidation, merger, or amalgamation of all or part of our business or operations. We may share personal information when we believe it is necessary to cooperate with law enforcement or in response to a government request, including if specifically requested or required, as otherwise permitted by law, to investigate potentially fraudulent or questionable activities, and for other valid Catalina business purposes. We also may share your personal information on an aggregated basis to provide third parties with information, such as to help us develop new features and content for the Site, and to provide others with aggregate information about our users and the usage patterns of the Site.

We retain personally identifiable information for as long as necessary for its legitimate business purposes, and as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Catalina has no control over the content displayed on such sites, nor over the measures, if any, that are taken by such sites to protect the privacy of your information.

Our Site is intended for a general audience and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any visitor under the age of 13, and we strive to comply with the provisions of COPPA (The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).
